Trade and Economic Cooperation
In October, 2016 Free Trade Agreement between the member-states of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Belarusian-Vietnamese intergovernmental protocol to assist in the production of motor vehicles on the territory of Vietnam have entered into force.
The main exports of Belarus to Vietnam in recent years are:
♦ potash fertilizers;
♦ trucks;
♦ dump trucks;
♦ tractors;
♦ tires;
♦ milk and dairy products;
♦ frozen beef;
♦ synthetic threads;
♦ polyamides.
Main articles of imports of Belarus from Vietnam are:
♦ means of communication;
♦ computer and office equipment;
♦ seafood;
♦ rice, nuts;
♦ shoes and clothes;
♦ natural rubber;
♦ tropical fruits;
♦ tea, coffee, spices.
Export promotion to Vietnam is done by own regional entities of the distribution network of Belarusian enterprises (OJSC “MAZ”, OJSC “MTZ”).
In February, 2019 between the OJSC “Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1” and the Vietnamese company “Au Viet Food Import-Export And Manufacture” the constituent documents on the creation of a joint venture for the production of Belarusian milk and dairy products in Vietnam — LLC JV “AU VIET MILK” were signed.
In September, 2019 the opening ceremony of the MAZ truck assembly plant in the Hung Yen province took place.

In April 2020, the certification procedure for Belarusian milk and dairy products in Vietnam was completed. In April 2025, the certification of Belarusian beef was completed. The Belarusian-Vietnamese intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation is functioning. The co-chairman from the Belarusian side is Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandr Terekhov, from the Vietnamese side — Minister of Industry and Trade Le Manh Hung. The Commission’s 16th session was held on April 1, 2025 in Hanoi.
Exhibition and fair events, business forums are held. In 2011 – 2026, 9 national and group exhibitions representing the Republic of Belarus were organized in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Anatoly Sivak took part in the opening of the 34th international exhibition “Vietnam Expo” in Hanoi (April 2-5, 2025), the exposition of the Republic of Belarus, and the Belarusian-Vietnamese business forum.
A Belarusian-Vietnamese business seminar was held in Hanoi as part of the 35th Vietnam Expo international exhibition (April 8–11, 2026), where products from Belarusian companies were showcased.

Belavia, the national carrier of Belarus, operates regular and charter direct flights en route Minsk–Cam Ranh–Minsk (since March 20, 2026) and Minsk–Phu Quoc–Minsk (since October 11, 2025).
