13.10.2025
On October 12, 2025, Palina Karpava, Vice Consul of the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus took part in a welcome ceremony for a flight Minsk – Phu Quoc – Minsk, operated by the Belavia Belarusian airlines.
In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador of Belarus Uladzimir Baravikou noted that the launch of direct avia service is a significant event in bilateral relations, a clear demonstration of the Strategic Partnership between the two countries, as agreed upon by the leaders of Belarus and Vietnam in May 2025. He expressed confidence that, along with the visa-free regime introduced in January 2025, regular direct flights will provide additional impetus to the further promotion of people-to-people diplomacy and the strengthening and expansion of economic, socio-cultural ties and tourism flows.

The flight's welcoming ceremony was also attended by Belavia Airlines Deputy Director General for Marketing and Foreign Economic Affairs Vladimir Barkun, Chairman of the Belarus-Vietnam Interparliamentary Friendship Group of the National Assembly of Vietnam Nguyen Tuan Anh, representatives of An Giang Province and the Phu Quoc Special Zone, Vietnamese customs and immigration authorities, the Vietnam-Belarus Friendship Society, and travel agencies.
