Consul General A. Sidoruk met with the Leadership of Vinh Long Province

On 10 June 2026, during the visit to Vinh Long province, a meeting between the Consul General of Belarus A. Sidoruk and the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Van Lau was held.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the People’s Committee of the Province Tran Chi Quang and heads of the Departments of Finance, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Environment.

During negotiations Vietnamese side presented information on the investment potential of the province and its trade and economic development, including agriculture, logistics, urban infrastructure and renewable energy.

Parties discussed prospects for the development of interregional cooperation and exchange of business delegations between Belarusian regions and Vinh Long Province.

Particular attention was paid to the organization of a visit by a delegation from Vinh Long Province to Belarus. Consul General proposed to the leadership and business circles of the province to visit the agricultural exhibition “Belagro” in 2027 in order to get information about trade, economic and industrial potential of the country.

Within the framework of trade and economic cooperation, parties discussed supplies of Belarusian agricultural machinery, road and special purpose trucks, dairy and meat products, and the expansion of exports of products from Vinh Long Province to Belarus, including coconuts, coconut oil, and tropical fruits.

The increase in tourist flows between Belarus and Vinh Long Province was also discussed.

Following the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their mutual commitment to further strengthening Belarusian-Vietnamese interregional ties and advancing mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation, in light of elevating the bilateral relations between Belarus and Vietnam to the level of a Strategic Partnership.
