Binh Thuan Province is located in the southeast of Vietnam. Its area is approximately 7.9 thousand square kilometers, with a population of about 1.3 million people. A significant share of the province’s economy is made up of the processing industry, as well as the production and distribution of electricity. The province has large reserves of minerals, including quartz sand, granite, bentonite clay, titanium, zircon, oil, and gas. Agriculture, forestry, and fisheries are also widely developed. There are 9 industrial parks with a total area of over 3,000 hectares in the province.

During the talks, the parties exchanged views on the current state and promising areas of cooperation between Belarus and Binh Thuan Province.

Consul General Ruslan Varankou noted that this region is well known to Belarusian tourists, but the opportunities for cooperation are not limited to this area and are far from exhausted.

Belarus has significant industrial potential, especially in the fields of freight, passenger, and agricultural engineering, which can be utilized to develop deposits of valuable minerals in the province.

Chairman Doan Anh Dung, in turn, expressed hope for more active interaction between the business circles of the two countries, as well as for Belarus’ assistance in the technological re-equipment of local industries. Additionally, this region is interested in leveraging Belarus’ expertise in establishing a modern and effective healthcare system and is prepared to supply tropical vegetables and fruits to Belarus.
