On January 23, 2025 Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, Ruslan Varankou, hosted a press conference at the Ho Chi Minh City Press Center, marking the 33rd anniversary of Belarusian-Vietnamese diplomatic relations. This event underlined the strong friendship and collaboration between the two nations, showcasing significant economic and political progress.
A key focus of the conference was the upcoming Belarusian presidential elections, a pivotal event for the country. Consul General Varankou highlighted the robust early voting turnout, and the involvement of international observers, including from Vietnam. He assured that the results would be transparently shared, emphasising Belarus's commitment to democratic values.
Looking forward, 2025 promises to be a landmark year for both countries, with Belarus chairing the Eurasian Economic Union and Vietnam hosting the ASEAN Future Forum. Belarusian diplomat expressed dedication to using these opportunities to enhance bilateral exchanges and cooperation.
