Minsk Days and the Belarus-Vietnam Business Forum to be Held in Ho Chi Minh City

On September 23, 2024, the official opening of Minsk Days and the Belarus-Vietnam Business Forum will take place in Ho Chi Minh City. The events will be attended by the leaders of Minsk and Ho Chi Minh City.

hese events are organised by the Minsk City Executive Committee in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, the National Center for Marketing and Price Study of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, the Ho Chi Minh City Investment and Trade Promotion Center, and the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Friendship Organisations.

During the panel discussion, the leadership of the two sister cities, along with representatives from local business circles and business associations, will exchange views on the prospects for cooperation between Minsk and Ho Chi Minh City in trade, economic, and investment areas. They will also present their current vision for further development and deepening of bilateral economic ties.

At the contact-cooperation exchange, Belarusian and Vietnamese businesses will have the opportunity to present their products and services and hold direct negotiations. On the same day, a meeting of Vietnamese graduates of Belarusian higher education institutions will be held at the Friendship Tower. This will be the first such event organised by the Consulate General of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City.

As part of the cultural program, the opening of a photo exhibition by the Belarusian Telegraph Agency titled “Sovereign Belarus” will take place, showcasing the achievements of sovereign Belarus in political, social, and economic spheres, including agriculture, engineering and industry, medicine, education and culture, science, and technology. 

Participants and guests of Minsk Days will also get acquainted with Belarusian folk songs performed by the folk ensemble “Verbica,” as well as traditional Belarusian dishes, including “Belarusian delicacies” such as bison meat, elk meat, pork ear and beef tongue rolls, “village-style” draniks (potato pancakes), honey-dipped pastries with berry jelly, and cranberry juice prepared by Belarusian chefs. They will also taste Belarusian cookies and chocolates produced by the companies “Kommunarka” and “Slodych,” and sample Belarusian beverages from the company “Minsk Kristall”.
