Meeting of Consul General A.Sidoruk with the Leadership of Da Nang City

On May 28, within the framework of his working visit to Da Nang, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus, Mr. A. Sidoruk, held a meeting with Mr. Tran Chi Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Industry and Trade, and the Da Nang Investment and Trade Promotion Center.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to interregional cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the development of relations with the Mogilev Region, including the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee and the People’s Committee of Da Nang City.

In this context, the sides discussed the organization of mutual visits by the leadership and business delegations of Da Nang City and the Mogilev Region, as well as the holding of Belarusian-Vietnamese business forums with the participation of enterprises from Da Nang and Mogilev.

The parties also reviewed prospects for expanding trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Da Nang, including the development of industrial cooperation, investment partnership and collaboration in the field of high technologies.

In addition, issues related to increasing tourist flows from Belarus to Da Nang and from Da Nang to Belarus were discussed. The city leadership noted its interest in opening direct air connectivity between Minsk and Da Nang and also expressed interest in increasing the number of Belarusian tourists, given the city’s unique cultural and historical heritage.

In conclusion, both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to strengthen interregional cooperation across the economic, trade, cultural, and humanitarian spheres, against the backdrop of elevating Belarus-Vietnam relations to a Strategic Partnership.
