On the Meeting of Consul General A. Sidoruk with the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee

On February 5, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City A. Sidoruk met with the Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, Tran Luu Quang.


During the meeting, the prospects for developing Belarusian-Vietnamese cooperation were discussed, taking into account the bilateral relations' elevation to the level of strategic partnership.

 


The Consul General outlined priority areas of cooperation, including the development of interregional cooperation, trade, economic, and inter-university ties. Particular attention was paid to deepening the partnership between Minsk and Ho Chi Minh City within the framework of the Cooperation Program for 2024–2026, as well as organizing the visit of the leadership of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to the Republic of Belarus in connection with the Ho Chi Minh City Days in Minsk in 2026.


In the economic sphere, steady growth in trade turnover was noted and significant potential for further expansion exists. The importance of increasing mutual awareness of the economic potential of Belarus and Vietnam and expanding exchanges of business delegations was emphasized.


The Vietnamese side confirmed its interest in further deepening cooperation and the practical implementation of the agreements reached through bilateral events and the development of political, economic, and cultural dialogue between the Republic of Belarus and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
