Meeting of the Consul General of Belarus Ruslan Varankou with Editors-in-Chief of Ho Chi Minh City Media

On January 24, 2025, a meeting was held at the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City between Consul General Ruslan Varankou and the editors-in-chief of key media outlets of Ho Chi Minh City and pan-Vietnamese media located there.
The event was attended by the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association, Nguyen Tan Phong, as well as the editors-in-chief and heads of the newspapers “SGGP,” “Lao Động,” “Tuoi Tre,” “Phu Nu,” “Phap Luat,” “Saigon Times,” radio stations “VOH,” “VOV,” and magazines “Natural Science” and “Tourism.”
During the meeting, the results and prospects of cooperation between the sister cities of Minsk and Ho Chi Minh City, as well as Belarus and Vietnam as a whole, were discussed, including in the context of the 33rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries. Particular attention was paid to significant socio-political events, including the current Presidential election campaign in Belarus.
Consul General Ruslan Varankou emphasised the importance of Belarusian international initiatives and outlined the key areas of work of the foreign mission to strengthen bilateral ties.
The meeting participants highly appreciated the joint efforts aimed at expanding the channels and methods of transmitting information about the culture and peoples of Belarus and Vietnam. These efforts contribute to the development of friendly relations between our countries.
