Consul General of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City Ruslan Varankou meets leadership of Khanh Hoa Province

On February 18, 2025, the Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, Ruslan Varankou, held meetings with the Secretary of the Party Committee of Khanh Hoa Province, Nghiêm Xuân Thành, and the Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, Đinh Văn Thiệu.

Khanh Hoa Province is located in the coastal part of south-eastern Vietnam. Its population counts more than 1.3 million people, ranking 30th in the country. The administrative centre, Nha Trang, has around 420 thousand inhabitants.

It is one of the most dynamically developing provinces in the Vietnam, ranking among the top 10 in terms of growth rates of gross regional product (GRP). In 2024, the local GRP of the province demonstrated growth of more than 10%, reaching approximately 5.1 billion US dollars. The province’s exports exceed 2 billion USD and are composed of shipbuilding, seafood, and coffee. Imports amount to about 1.4 billion USD. The largest driver of economic growth is tourism. Almost 11 million people visited the province in 2024, contributing more than 2.2 billion USD in revenue to the regional budget.

During the talks, the current state of cooperation between Belarus and Khanh Hoa Province, as well as the development of its ties with Belarusian regions, were discussed.

The parties noted significant untapped potential, particularly in the areas of trade, economic, and investment cooperation.

They also discussed ways to increase tourist flows between Belarus and Khanh Hoa Province.
