Consul General A.Sidoruk Met with the Chairman of the People’s Committee of the City

On December 30, the Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, A. Sidoruk, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, Nguyen Van Duoc.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospective directions for Belarus–Vietnam cooperation, development of relations between the Republic of Belarus and Ho Chi Minh City in trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Consul General outlined the priorities for cooperation, including expanding Belarusian exports to the Vietnamese market, industrial cooperation, further development of inter-university relations and student exchanges, as well as scientific, technical, and practical collaboration in the field of information technology.

Particular attention was paid to the development of relations between Minsk and Ho Chi Minh City, taking into account the Cooperation Program
for 2024–2026, the intensification of business visits, and the organization of a visit by the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee to Belarus, as well as the holding of “Ho Chi Minh Days” in Minsk in 2026.

The Chairman of the People’s Committee emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in all spheres, considering the advancement of bilateral relations to the level of strategic partnership. In this context, he proposed organizing a series of events in 2026 aimed at the practical implementation
of agreements reached at the highest level.
