Consul General A. Sidoruk meets Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City

On April 23–24, 2026, due to the expansion of the consular district of the Consulate General with the inclusion of Hue city, Consul General of Belarus A. Sidoruk visited Hue. The core of the visit was a meeting with Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City Nguyen Khac Toan. The meeting was attended by the leadership of relevant departments of Hue city: foreign affairs, finance, industry, scientific аnd technological development.

Consul General outlined priority areas of cooperation, including the deepening of trade, economic, and humanitarian ties.

Particular attention was paid to the development of interregional cooperation and the increase of tourist flows.

It was noted that previously Hue city had not been part of the consular district of the Consulate General of Belarus, and therefore there is a need to intensify mutual promotion of information on the cultural, tourism, trade, and economic potential of Hue city and Belarusian regions.

Nguyen Khac Toan expressed interest in developing interregional cooperation, including the possibility of concluding a memorandum of understanding with one of the regional centers of Belarus. He emphasized the importance of establishing partnerships between Belarusian universities and Hue University, which is one of the oldest higher education institutions in Vietnam.

The parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further cooperation and practical implementation of the reached agreements, including bilateral events, exchanging delegations and participating in cultural initiatives.
