Opening ceremony of the photo exhibition “The Beauty of Belarusian and Vietnamese Women” took place in Ho Chi Minh City

On April 28, 2025, as part of the delegation of the Minsk city organization of the public association “Belarusian Women's Union” visit to Ho Chi Minh, with the assistance of the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, the opening ceremony of the photo exhibition “The Beauty of Belarusian and Vietnamese Women” was held.

The ceremony was attended by delegations of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus led by Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Vadzim Ipatau , the Minsk city organization of the public association “Belarusian Union of Women” led by Volha Chamadanava, Chairman of the Women's Union of Ho Chi Minh City Pham Thi Thanh Hien, representatives of the Department of Foreign Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City. More than 150 people attended the event.

The photo exhibition is organized on the eve of the most important dates in the history of Belarus and Vietnam: the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people over the Nazi invaders and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South of Vietnam. The Belarusian part of the exhibition is represented by 20 photos from the series “The Female Face of Victory”, which tell about the women during the Great Patriotic War and their heroic deeds that brought Victory Day closer.

In his welcoming speech at the opening ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives Vadzim Ipatau noted the importance of women's diplomacy, which remains a powerful tool in the development of Belarusian-Vietnamese cooperation.

The holding of Belarus-Vietnam joint event symbolizes the efforts of the two countries to preserve historical memory, as well as the mutual will of the peoples to strengthen friendship and trust between the two states. The exhibition will be open until May 29, 2025.
