Consul General A. Sidoruk Participated in the Tree Planting Ceremony for the “Alley of Friendship” in Ho Chi Minh City

On May 16, Consul General of Belarus Alexander Sidoruk, together with representatives of the Consulates General of Cuba, China, Thailand, India, and Russia, took part in a tree planting ceremony for the “Alley of Friendship”, organized by the Union of Friendship Organisations of Ho Chi Minh City.

Representatives of Ho Chi Minh City authorities, Phu An District, public organizations, and business community also participated in the ceremony.

The event commemorates the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday and the 50th anniversary of the official naming of Saigon after President Ho Chi Minh.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the “Alley of Friendship,” Ha Thanh, Chairperson of the Union of Friendship Organisations of Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized that the project is not only an environmental initiative but also a symbol of solidarity, international cooperation, and strengthening of friendly ties.

The participation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in the event was a contribution to the development of public diplomacy aimed at strengthening mutual understanding and trust between countries, as well as promoting joint environmental and humanitarian initiatives.
