Trade and Economic Potential of the Republic of Belarus presented to Can Tho Business Community

On 14 May, as part of the visit to Can Tho City, Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City A. Sidoruk made a presentation on the trade and economic potential of the Republic of Belarus. The presentation was organized for member enterprises of the Can Tho City Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center and representatives of the Can Tho City Business Association.

For reference: The Can Tho City Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center unites more than 500 enterprises operating in the fields of construction, investment, and tourism. The Can Tho City Business Association comprises enterprises from the agricultural, industrial, and food processing sectors.

During the presentation, special attention was devoted to the prospects for developing trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and southern Vietnam, particularly in the supply of agricultural machinery, dairy and meat products, as well as the establishment of joint ventures.

In addition, a meeting was held with the Deputy Director of the Union
of Friendship Organizations of Can Tho City. The discussion was focusedon humanitarian cooperation, including organization of joint cultural events (exhibitions and performances by artists) in 2027 to mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus
and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Following the events, both sides confirmed their mutual interest in further expanding trade-economic and humanitarian ties between Belarus and Can Tho City.
