Consul General A. Sidoruk meets the Leadership of Khanh Hoa province

On May 20, Consul General of Belarus Alexander Sidoruk held a meeting with the Secretary of the Party Committee of Khanh Hoa province Mr. Tran Phong. The meeting was also attended by the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Mr. Le Huyen, representatives of the departments of foreign affairs, finance, industry and trade.

During negotiations the parties discussed prospects of interregional cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and Khanh Hoa province. Particular attention was paid to strengthening ties between the southern regions of Belarus and the province, including the conclusion of a Cooperation Agreement with Gomel region. In addition, the parties discussed a prospective visit of the leadership and business community of Khanh Hoa province to Gomel to explore the trade, economic, and cultural potential of the Belarusian region.

Parties also took stock of the current state of economic and trade cooperation. Tran Phong provided an overview of the province's socio-economic potential and expressed interest in expanding the supply of Belarusian agricultural and cargo machinery, fostering cooperation in energy and logistics, exporting the region's unique agricultural products to Belarus.

Attention was also devoted to the increase in tourist flows between Belarus and Khanh Hoa following the launch of direct flights on the Minsk–Nha Trang–Minsk route. The parties confirmed their mutual interest in organizing more tours to Belarus, opening new travel routes for Belarusian tourists, and strengthening cooperation between Belarusian and Vietnamese tour operators.

Following the meeting, both sides expressed mutual interest to deepen cooperation and strengthen bilateral ties as relations between the two countries advance to the level of a strategic partnership.
