Consul General of Belarus Ruslan Varankou meets the HUBA Standing Deputy Chairman

On October 17, 2024, the Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, Ruslan Varankou, held a meeting with the Standing Deputy Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Union of Business Associations (HUBA), Nguyen Phuoc Hung.
The Ho Chi Minh City Union of Business Associations was established in 1989. It is the largest professional public association of companies and entrepreneurs in Vietnam. It gathers 73 member associations and more than 17 thousand enterprises operating mainly in the fields of trade and services, manufacturing and construction.
The HUBA’s activity is aimed at developing international cooperation, ensuring the exchange of information and establishing business ties, assisting in entering foreign markets, developing industry regulations, and providing consulting services.
During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on promising areas of bilateral cooperation.
Ruslan Varankou outlined the main goals of the Consulate General's activities, emphasizing the promotion of trade and economic cooperation, noted the successful holding of the Days of Minsk in Ho Chi Minh City in September this year, and expressed confidence in the high potential for bilateral cooperation with HUBA.
Nguyen Phuong Hung reported on the Union’s activities, confirmed his readiness to promote the development of Belarusian-Vietnamese relations, and also noted that at present HUBA pays special attention to companies offering solutions in the field of transition to “green” technologies.
The parties also discussed in detail the possibility of establishing ties between Belarusian and Vietnamese business structures, exchanging visits, as well as organising joint specialised events in the Republic of Belarus and Ho Chi Minh City in the medium and long term.
