Meeting between Consul General A. Sidoruk and the Leadership of the Da Nang Branch of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry

On May 28, as part of his visit to Da Nang, the Consul General of Belarus, A. Sidoruk, held a meeting with the Director of the Da Nang Branch of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nguyen Tien Quang.

Reference: Da Nang Branch of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry is one of the largest branches of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The branch comprises around 5,000 enterprises from the agricultural, industrial, and food sectors across 6 administrative-territorial units of Southern and Central Vietnam: Quang Nam, Gia Lai and Dak Lak provinces, as well as the cities of Hue, Dong Nai and Da Nang.

During the meeting, A. Sidoruk presented the trade and economic potential of the Republic of Belarus. He emphasized the complementarity of the economies of Belarus and Vietnam, which opens up prospects for expanding the supply of Belarusian agricultural machinery and dairy products to Da Nang, developing cooperation in the field of IT technologies, as well as increasing the import of tropical fruits and seafood from Da Nang to Belarus.

Nguyen Tien Quang highlighted the areas for cooperation with Belarusian enterprises, including the supply of fertilizers, medical preparations and medicines, and agricultural products. He emphasized that the visit of the Consul General to Da Nang would deepen the interaction between Belarusian and Vietnamese enterprises and would contribute to the development of direct contacts between the business communities of Belarus and Da Nang.

Attention was also paid to the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Mogilev Branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Da Nang Branch of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the context of developing interregional cooperation between the Mogilev Region and the city of Da Nang.

The parties also discussed the exchange of business delegations, the holding of online forums, and a visit by a delegation of member enterprises of the VCCI Da Nang Branch to the city of Mogilev to familiarize themselves with the trade and economic potential of the region.
