Consul General of Belarus Ruslan Varankou Named as the Ambassador of Vietnamese Traditional Costume Ao Dai

From March 7-9, 2025, the Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, Ruslan Varankou, actively participated in the events of the 11th Festival of Vietnamese Traditional Costume Ao Dai.

A particularly striking moment of the festival was the appointment of Ruslan Varankou and his wife as Ao Dai Ambassadors. This honorary title was awarded to them for their significant support of the festival, promotion of its ideas, and contribution to strengthening cultural ties between Belarus and Vietnam.

Since 2014, the Ao Dai Festival has become a key event in the tourism industry of Ho Chi Minh City. Today, it has evolved into a cultural phenomenon that attracts thousands of local and foreign tourists.

The festival program included parades, exhibitions, master classes, and shows dedicated to the art of creating and wearing Ao Dai. For three days, talented designers, artists, and models presented bright and colourful variations of the traditional Vietnamese costume on the central stage of Ho Chi Minh City, paying tribute to Vietnamese culture and beauty.

The participation of the Consul General of Belarus, Ruslan Varankou, in this event emphasised the importance of international cooperation and cultural exchange, contributing to the strengthening of friendship between the peoples of Belarus and Vietnam.
